AWS Transfer Family is a secure, fully managed service for B2B file transfer into and out of Amazon S3 and EFS over SFTP, FTPS, FTP, and AS2

Create servers and enable endpoints for protocol access to data in Amazon S3 and EFS. You can choose to make your server endpoint publily accessible or host it within your VPC. VPC hosted server endpoints can have public IPs (Elastic/BYO IPs). Additionally,  you can mirror your existing server configurations by importing host keys and certificates. All server activity is logged to CloudWatch. 

Create a SFTP server

Securely copy files between Amazon S3 and remote SFTP servers hosted by your business partners 

Create a SFTP Connector 

Create managed workflows by using the AWS Management Console. With managed workflows, you can kick off a workflow after a file has been transferred over SFTP, FTPS, or FTP. Using this feature, you can securely and cost effectively meet your compliance requirements for business-to-business (B2B) file exchanges by coordinating all the necessary steps required for file processing. In addition, you benefit from end-to-end auditing and visibility.

Applicability Statement 2 (AS2) is an RFC-defined file-transmission specification that includes strong message protection and verification mechanisms. The AS2 protocol is critical to workflows with compliance requirements that rely on having data protection and security features built into the protocol.

Create an AS2 server

Establish a relationship between your AWS storage and a partner's SFTP server. You can send files from Amazon S3 to an external, partner-owned destination. You can also use an SFTP connector to retrieve files from a partner's SFTP server.
