Amazon EventBridge is a serverless service that uses events to connect application components together, making it easier to build scalable event-driven applications.

Use default event bus (one default event bus per account) to receive AWS events or events from your own custom applications create partner event bus to receive events from SaaS partner applications and configure custom event bus to receive events form custom applications and services. Different types of event buses are provided to help you organize event sources and manage accounts.

The EventBridge Schema Registry allows you to discover, create, and manage OpenAPI schemas for events going through EventBridge. You can access schemas for AWS events, discover schemas for events on the event buses, create your own custom schemas and download code bindings. Schema registry is also available in AWS Toolkit supporting IntelliJ and Visual Studio Code.

Global Endpoints is an easier and reliable way to improve the availability of your event-driven applications on AWS, by automatically failing over your event ingestion to a secondary Region during service disruptions, without the need for manual intervention.

Route events between AWS services, integrated software as a service (SaaS) applications, and your own applications outside of AWS by using API calls. You can authorize your connection using authorization parameters that EventBridge stores for you in Secret Manager.

A connection defines the authorization method and credentials, as well as network connectivity, for EventBridge to use in connecting to a public or private API.
